Bison Tools
on 06/07/2004

Several people have asked me about the tools I use to trim my pieces very thin in order to promote translucency. The tools are made by Philip Poburka, who calls his company
\"Bison Tools\". Address catalog requests to Philip at: 1409 South Commerce St.
Las Vegas, NV, 89102
phone: 702-388-2891
The tools are made of tungsten carbide, which is extremely hard and keeps an exceptionally sharp edge. They are capable of trimming off very thin shavings from even dry clay, and while they are a bit expensive ($48 to $56 per tool), they will easily outlast fifty (or more) regular trimming tools.
